Assignment A Answer the following in about 500 words each. ( 20 marks each)

1. Explain how constitutional provisions shape educational governance in India. In your answer, discuss the educational implications of the Preamble, any two Articles related to education (including Article 21A), and briefly connect your discussion with the Right to Education Act and one related institutional mechanism (e.g., NCPCR/SCPCR).
2. Critically evaluate the recommendations of any two educational commissions/committees in India (e.g., University Education Commission, Secondary Education Commission, Indian Education Commission, National Knowledge Commission). Highlight their key recommendations, major critiques/limitations, and explain their relevance for present-day educational governance.

Assignment B Answer the following questions in about 250 words each. (12 marks each )

3. School education governance in India involves multiple actors. Briefly explain the roles of Centre and State governments, and add one point on the role of non-government institutions with special reference to PPP/non-state actors.
4. Write a short note on the governance and management of pre-primary education. Refer to institutional structures such as Anganwadi/Play School, and explain how pre primary links with elementary education.
5. Explain the structure and management of secondary and senior secondary education in India. Mention types of management/regulatory bodies and write one point on inclusive education at the secondary stage.
6. Explain one major governance challenge in higher education. Choose any one:

(a) availability of quality teachers,

(b) evaluation and “kunji culture”,

(c) regulatory contradictions (UGC/other bodies). Provide a brief critical comment.

Assignment C Answer the following questions in about 125 words each. ( 6 marks each )

7. What is meant by quality assurance in education? Mention any two agencies/frameworks (e.g., NAAC, NBA, QCI, NIRF) and one purpose they serve.
8. Write a short note on e-governance/online learning in educational management. Mention any two elements (e.g., OER, authentication & safety, e-resource management) and one implication for institutions.
